Jordan River, East Jordan Michigan, Mackinaw State Forest

Winter on the Jordan River. This river is in the Northwestern part of the lower peninsula in the state of Michigan. It is the largest tributary of Lake Charlevoix. The Jordan river is well known for its world-class brook trout fishing and for its scenic canoe trips.

"Turnip Rock" Pointe Aux Barques, Lake Huron

"Turnip Rock" Pointe Aux Barques, Lake Huron. My wife and I challenged ourselves this weekend with a 5 mile round trip trek across the ice to see this impressive "Sea-stack" or rock formation. Only one mishap on our adventure, Shelly fell through a small crevasse , but just up to her waist and boots full of snow.. Thanks for sharing!

Frozen Munising Falls Upper Michigan

Frozen Munising Falls, taken a few days ago.. My wife was nice enough to stand by the falls for me to get the shot. When we were taking this , a low rumbling "crack sound" echoed out in the escarpment.. it was was the ice column that made the sound, it was kind of scary!

Winter at Munising Falls, My wife Shelly is standing near the Ice Column

My wife and I were on a photo shoot in Upper Michigan and we stopped on our way home to see Munising Falls. A fresh 8 inches or so of snow had fallen the night before. Not sure how much in on the ground but I'm guessing 40 inches or so in the Munising area.

Winter reflections "Old 510 Bridge" Dead River near Marquette, MI.

This bridge was originally located on the Allegheny River in Pennsylvania. It was purchased by the Michigan State Highway Department in 1919, and erected at it's current Marquette County location in 1921
Just got back from an adventured packed trip to Upper Michigan.. A couple of bumps and bruises , and more snow than you can shake a stick at!
