Crisp Point Lighthouse Sunset - Lake Superior, Upper Michigan
The first time we visited this Lighthouse, (about 20 years ago) It was about ready to fall into Lake Superior from the severe erosion. The Lighthouse now has been saved and beautifully restored. Getting to this landmark requires quite an adventure; the closest town is about 40 miles and getting there is by logging roads and two-tracks.

(Lower) Mosquito Falls Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
It's always difficult to balance an exposure of waterfall pics, especially when you shoot at a low angle (Which I love to do). It didn't turn out to bad considering. Lots of Brook trout in this little Michigan stream!

"Sunset Cruise" Miners Castle Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
This photo was taken from the observation deck at the Miners Castle Lookout, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, near Munising, Michigan. The pictured rocks tour boat is returning to Munising bay, cruising into the sunset. The turret on the right side of Miners Castle broke off and fell into Lake Superior several years ago. The colored rock and geological formations along Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore are breathtakingly beautiful.

Mosquito river - Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
Just got back from a few day's in Upper Michigan , did a little hiking along the Mosquito river in PRNL. A huge White Cedar hangs on to the river bank and a log leans against the falls. I found it quite interesting.

"Big Red" Holland Harbor Lighthouse Sunset
Holland Michigan was Founded by Dutch emigrants. The Lighthouse has a gabled roof that reflects the Dutch influence in the area. I think Lake Michigan was warmer than I have ever felt it. It felt like I was wading in a small inland pond. The Lighthouse is known by Michiganders as (Big
