It was purchased by the Michigan State Highw ay Department in 1919, and erected at it's current Marquette County location in 1921... It's a beautiful view in the fall...

This shot was taken from the back porch of the cabin we stayed in last week. Not the best composition, but the best I could do by shooting through the opening in the woods that the property owners cut. You can see the lights from the town of Pigeon Forge in the valley.
