"A Guiding Light" Big Sable Point Lighthouse - Ludington, Michigan


This is one of the tallest lighthouse towers in Michigan at 112 ft. The original tower was yellow cream brick which deteriorated from the elements ,so the entire tower was covered with a steel plate encasement in 1900. There was no roads to Big Sable so all materials were brought by ship.
